Looking for updates? Visit facebook.com/thecobbquad for info.

For those who don't know, the boys suddenly became ill at the end of November and were immediately hospitalized for RSV and a respiratory infection. We've been in the hospital ever since - 22 days as of this post - most of it spent in the pediatric ICU. Because of the sudden and severe nature of the boys' illness, we began making posts on a special Facebook page set up by a friend at https://www.facebook.com/TheCobbQuad. (Apparently you don't have to have an account to view the page.) We may go back at a later time and update this blogspot page, but for the time being, we'll use the Facebook page.

Thanks!

More, More, and More Pics

Since we hardly posted this year, we hope this  post will fill some gaps.

William assists Grandpa in February comforting him while writing on offer on the his new house in Crowly.
Is J trying to tell us something here? Is he destined to be a plumber?
William took it a little more seriously.
J got some beads and glasses, we didn't ask how, but he helped rock it at Mom and Dad's  Mardi Gras party.
Mom and Dad took us out for many walks in early spring while it was still cool in Texas.

Luke...I mean John-Raven is planning his next attack.
No caption needed really.
John-Raven really started showing off his sitting skills after Houston in March.

Think the standers may be doing their job....

J is curious about EVERYTHING!

W is not to sure about his wheels.
J took right to the wheels, mainly due to his curiosity, but he knows they move...just hasn't figured out exactly how far they will take him.

Bibliophilia. Learned or Genetic?

Thank God for IPhones!

I can now do fast post via phone! We have to love technology!

Here are a few pics from our first concert at Levitt. We saw blues guitarist Guitar Shorty. We loved it and the company we were with.

So Much Catch Up On!

Mom and Dad have had quite a busy year.  Here are a few things that have happened along the way.

Mom walked 60 miles in October for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. We greeted her at the finish with Dad, Gammy, and Grandpa.

We got Glasses!

We were just trying these out.
No one would save us.
We got some that made us look even more like dad.

Back to H-Town

We went back to Houston for another round of Intensive Physical Therapy.
We got even stronger! (And Bigger! Mom and Dad need some Intensive PT just so they can tote us around these days!)

John-Raven

William

When our 2 hours of hard work  was done, our true personalities came out.
John-Raven was ready to party while William crashed out before we made it home.

On May 1st, we turned THREE and had our first day of school.

We are Kooken Koalas now.

This summer has started great!  Mom and Dad have taken us to two free outdoor concert in Downtown Arlington at the Levitt Pavillion.  We love the outdoors and we jam with the best of em'!

Pretty much our entire neighborhood was there with us on the front row.

More to come.....

Tonsils - Done and Done

Just a quick update: Surgery went fine, and tonsils are out. Through the weekend, the pain meds kept the boys pretty well zonked, but they are recovering well. Now we just have to wait a little while for their horrendous dragon breath to subside.

Tonsil Sale - Everything Must Go!

We're really not selling their tonsils. We're just having them removed because apparently, they're ginormous and need to come out before they acquire identities and apply for citizenship.

And yes, it's for both boys. You didn't think only one of them would need surgery and not the other, did you?

If you're thinking this surgery sounds familiar, that's because we did almost the same thing this time last year, but then it was for adenoids.

Surgery is this Friday, so keep the boys in your thoughts. It shouldn't be a big deal -- we've been here plenty of times before, and for more major operations -- and we're not expecting recovery to be too bad either.

We'll update after Friday. In the meantime, if you want to be blown away by how much the boys have grown in recent months, check this out...

Chillin' with Grandpaw.

I really think William is laughing at
John-Raven's Donald Trump-esque hairdo.
